Ronald B. Workman, Jr., MD
Founder and President
Ron Workman, Jr., is a graduate of Rhodes College and Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. After completing an internship in general surgery at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Dr. Workman embarked on an entrepreneurial path which culminated in the creation of Lightning Rounds, Inc. Early accomplishments of his company include the creation of MoonlightingDr.com
, an internet-based moonlighting resource for physicians, and EZTNM®, the only cancer staging program licensed by the American Joint Committee on Cancer. Many other projects are currently in development which Dr. Workman is balancing with his ongoing medical training. He recently completed residency training in the Department of Radiology, Division of Nuclear Medicine, at Duke University Medical Center, and is now continuing his radiology training at another institution.

Ramsey K. Kilani, MD
Vice President – Strategic Development
After attending the University of Arizona for undergraduate and medical school, Dr. Kilani completed a transitional internship at the McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University in Chicago and is now a resident in radiology at another institution. Dr. Kilani has a keen interest in the design, development, and application of information technologies to satisfy the growing demands of healthcare professionals. Although he is early into his medical career, he has nonetheless devised novel approaches to health information management systems, and has several patents pending. Dr. Kilani brings his considerable talents and enthusiasm to Lightning Rounds, Inc.

Carl Smith, MS
Chief Computer Engineer
Carl Smith has more than 12 years of experience in management and software development. He has extensive experience in the design, development, and project leadership of software applications in multiple industry environments, and in order to provide top-level programming expertise, Carl is technically oriented to state-of-the-art computer/information systems and has considerable background in application development, program design, and directional leadership. He is an accomplished Microsoft Windows, Windows NT, Palm OS, Pocket PC, and Web-based developer. Carl was instrumental in the creation of EZTNM® and is currently heavily involved with additional projects with Lightning Rounds, Inc.
